Russian-American consultations have begun in Istanbul, TASS reports.
Negotiations between Russia and the United States are taking place in the building of the Russian Consulate General. The meeting will last several hours and be held in a closed format, like the first round. The normalization of embassies' work, the return of seized diplomatic property, and the restoration of direct air communication will be discussed.
Ambassador Alexander Darchiev to Washington heads the Russian delegation in the negotiations, and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Sonata Coulter heads the American delegation.
