The Constitutional Reform Council has not been dissolved and is functioning. Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Dadunts said this at a briefing with journalists today.
"The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia is cooperating in the work on the text. We have a very tight deadline; the text of the draft Constitution must be ready by the 2026 elections. We must have a Constitution that is not subject to any doubt by the public regarding the legitimacy of its adoption since the Constitution is the foundation of every state and statehood," he said.
According to the Deputy Minister, the issue of amending the preamble is not being discussed.
