Ani Badalyan, the spokesperson for the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responding to a media inquiry on “Baku’s demands to provide minefield maps,” stated that Armenia unilaterally, without preconditions, provided Azerbaijan with 972 registers of mined areas on June 12, July 3, October 19, November 1, and November 29, 2021.
"Emphasizing the importance of resolving humanitarian issues, Armenia unilaterally, without preconditions, gave Azerbaijan 972 registers of mined areas on June 12, July 3, October 19, November 1, and November 29, 2021. Moreover, adhering to the principles of cooperation in humanitarian matters, Armenia compiled new registers of mined areas through surveys and transferred them to Azerbaijan in early 2024.
Azerbaijan continues to question the accuracy of these maps despite our numerous statements that there are no “better or more accurate” maps. As in the past, Armenia is ready to verify their accuracy with the involvement of international experts.
Let us add that the International Court of Justice has unequivocally rejected the claim for interim measures against Armenia, in which Azerbaijan accused Armenia of mining" the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson noted.
