Within the framework of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Health Affairs of the RA NA, Arsen Torosyan, met with Claudio Cajado Sampaio, the Head of the Brazilian Delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
Arsen Torosyan reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to strengthening ties with Latin American countries, emphasizing the untapped potential of cooperation in various fields.
At the meeting, the parties highly appreciated the role of parliamentary diplomacy in deepening cooperation between the two countries. In this regard, the collaboration between the friendship groups operating in the parliaments of Armenia and Brazil was touched upon, and the need to organize mutual visits was emphasized.
Arsen Torosyan stressed the importance of cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
He welcomed Brazil's role in these efforts and highlighted Armenia's participation in COP30, which will be held in Belem. He also invited partners to participate in COP17, which will be held in Yerevan in 2026.
Arsen Torosyan reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus and its readiness to sign the peace agreement already agreed upon between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
