The Embassy of the Netherlands in the Republic of Armenia reports that on the second day of her working visit to the Syunik region, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Armenia, Marieke Monroy-Winter, paid a courtesy call to the Governor of the Syunik region, Robert Ghukasyan.
During the meeting, the general political and security situation in the region, as well as the main directions of the Syunik economy, were discussed. Ambassador Monroy-Winter emphasized the importance of the Netherlands’ support for the programs implemented in the region, in particular the “Resilient Syunik Team Europe” initiative and various programs implemented with the “Sose” Women’s Issues NGO.
The next stop on the visit was the Kapan Central Library. The Ambassador toured the library, got acquainted with the literary wealth, and presented books translated into Armenian by Dutch authors.
The meeting with Khachatur Andreasyan, head of the Meghri Community, focused on the opportunities for economic cooperation between the Netherlands and Armenia.
