Montenegro supports peace efforts in the region

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro for Foreign and European Affairs, Filip Ivanovic.

The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro to Armenia and expressed confidence that it would give new impetus to the further development of bilateral relations. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that the Government of Armenia is interested in activating cooperation with Montenegro in political, economic, and other areas.

Filip Ivanovic conveyed the warm greetings of the Prime Minister of Montenegro to Nikol Pashinyan and emphasized the consistent development of traditional relations between Armenia and Armenia. The Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro added that the visit to Armenia aims to discuss the opportunities and further steps to promote bilateral cooperation.

In this context, they touched upon the expansion of trade and economic ties and cooperation in education and tourism. Both sides emphasized the importance of increasing air flights, which will improve human contacts and deepen business ties. They also exchanged views on promoting cooperation between the capitals of Yerevan and Potgorica.

Nikol Pashinyan and Filip Ivanovic discussed issues of regional importance. In particular, they touched upon the coordination of the draft agreement "On the establishment of peace and interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan." Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the Armenian Government's commitment to the peace agenda. In turn, Filip Ivanovic expressed Montenegro's support for efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region.
