During his official visit to Kazakhstan, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan visited the museum and memorial complex "ALZHIR" ("Akmolinsk camp of women traitors to the Motherland").
Minister Mirzoyan got acquainted with the notes of the museum-memorial complex, which present the history and events of women exiled to the village of Akmol (formerly Malinovka) in Kazakhstan as a result of the repressions of the USSR in 1930-1950. According to the museum, about 80 Armenian women were among them.
Minister Mirzoyan laid flowers at the monument and khachkar dedicated to the memory of Armenian women in the memorial complex's territory.
