The US State Department has released details of a phone call between Marco Rubio and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan discussed shared interests as strategic partners.
The Secretary of State welcomed the agreement on a peace treaty with Azerbaijan and stressed the importance of sustainable peace to break the cycle of regional conflicts and ensure security and prosperity in the South Caucasus. The Secretary of State and the Prime Minister agreed that any escalation in the South Caucasus is unacceptable,” the US State Department said in a statement.
