The NA Standing Committee on European Integration gave a positive opinion in the second reading of the draft on launching the process of the Republic's accession to the European Union (EU).
The authorized representative of the initiative group, Artak Zeynalyan, reported that the preamble to the initiative has been re-edited. After the discussions, the initiative group accepted the Government's proposal and rewrote the text.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paruyr Hovhannisyan presented the Government's favorable position on the revised version.
The draft has been included in the agenda for the upcoming regular NA sessions.
