The EU has issued a statement welcoming the temporary opening of the Margara-Alijan border crossing between Armenia and Turkey.
“The EU welcomes the temporary opening of the Margara-Alijan border crossing between Armenia and Turkey. This goodwill gesture not only helps those in need in Syria but also demonstrates the added value of bilateral dialogue and strengthens efforts towards fully normalizing relations between Armenia and Turkey,” the statement said.
