There is no basis or justification for the escalation, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on public television.
"The purpose of the news about the escalation is to cover up the real news, and the real news is that the text of the peace agreement has been agreed upon and is waiting to be signed. I am ready to sign," he said.
According to the Prime Minister, the agreed text of the peace agreement includes a regulation on confidence-building measures. "Our understanding is that the peace agenda must be advanced."
