"Azerbaijan has not provided any justification for the ceasefire violation." Prime Minister's Office

The RA Prime Minister's Office issued a statement:

"From March 16 to 18, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan issued 6 reports on alleged ceasefire violations by the Armenian army on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.

After all the above-mentioned reports, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia carried out verification work and, based on the verification results, denied the allegations of ceasefire violations by the Armenian army.

In all these denial reports, the RA Ministry of Defense recalled the RA Prime Minister's Office's proposal on June 22, 2024, to create a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism for investigating ceasefire violations and/or similar information, to which Azerbaijan has not responded positively to this day.

The RA Ministry of Defense's statement of March 17, 2025, stated that the RA is ready to investigate the facts substantiating Azerbaijan's reports, provided that they are transferred to the RA.

We note that, at this time, the Republic of Azerbaijan has not transmitted to the Republic of Armenia any factual data or justification for the RA Army's violation of the ceasefire regime.

The Staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, reaffirming its proposal to establish a joint Armenian-Azerbaijani mechanism for investigating cases of ceasefire violations and/or such information, declares that the RA Army has no reason or order to violate the ceasefire regime.

The Government of the Republic of Armenia is guided by the peace agenda, which is undeniable evidence of the steps taken to finalize the text of the Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Agreement on the text of the Peace Agreement and the completion of negotiations on the Agreement on the text are essential steps, and the Republic of Armenia calls on the Republic of Azerbaijan to launch consultations on the place and timing of the Agreement's signing.

We consider it necessary to emphasize that the draft Agreement's agreed-upon text addresses the fundamental issues of establishing peace and relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and provides mechanisms for discussing further actions.

We consider it necessary to record that in January 2025, the Republic of Armenia submitted to the Republic of Azerbaijan in writing a proposal to resolve the issue of railway cargo transportation from the western regions of Azerbaijan through the territory of the Republic of Armenia to the NIH, in the opposite direction and to third countries, and from the northwestern areas of the Republic of Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan to the southern part of the Republic of Armenia, in the opposite direction and to third countries, as well as a proposal to create a bilateral mechanism for mutual arms control and is awaiting a positive response from Azerbaijan.

At the same time, we reaffirm that the Republic of Armenia is ready to continue the work on the demarcation of the state border with the Republic of Azerbaijan by the Regulations on the joint activities of the Commission on the Demarcation of the State Border and Border Security between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Commission on the Demarcation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia," the statement reads.
