Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan called the conclusion of negotiations on a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan "a significant milestone." "The text has been agreed upon after long negotiations. I consider this a significant milestone in normalizing relations and establishing peace in our region," he said.
Mirzoyan noted that Armenia proposes to begin consultations with Azerbaijan on the agreement's location, timing, and other details as soon as possible.
"There is no provision in the text of the agreed agreement about a corridor; there is no provision in the text of the agreement about de-blockade mechanisms at all." Mirzoyan noted that there is a bilateral willingness to cooperate, including on transport and transit issues.
