Armenia to have a defense attaché to the EU

A position of Defense Attaché will be created at the Armenian Mission to the EU. The draft decision is included in the agenda of today’s Armenian government sessions.

“Considering the significant development of Armenia’s cooperation with Belgium and the European Union in the defense, security, and military spheres in recent times, it is planned to appoint and accredit the Defense Attaché to the Armenian Mission to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (hereinafter referred to as NATO) in parallel with the Defense Attaché of the Republic of Armenia in the European Union, as well as in the Kingdom of Belgium,” the decision states in its justifications.
