NA Speaker Alen Simonyan touched upon Armenian-Turkish relations, noting that Armenia continues to work with Turkey. “I regret that Azerbaijan has taken the issue of normalizing Armenian-Turkish relations hostage and is trying to exert influence. This is very bad, and I think that the relevant Turkish officials also understand it.”
According to Simonyan, Armenia has shown with its steps that Armenia is ready for peace. “We hope that Turkey, seeing these steps, seeing this position, will begin to express its position more clearly.”
He noted that no country has a moderator role, and Armenia and Azerbaijan can resolve the issues through direct negotiations.
