According to Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan, implementing the law on EU membership does not envisage an operational part containing specific actions; it is more of a political message.
Regarding the programs implemented in the context of EU activities, the Deputy Minister noted that the document on the new agenda is being finalized. This document complements CEPA and expands the areas covered by the EU.
"This document will be the guide for renewed relations with the EU. It is a political document with concrete implementation actions in all areas. No area is not included in the document," said Hovhannisyan, emphasizing that by strengthening SEPA, they can provide a new impetus for future actions.
Referring to the question of Armen Gevorgyan, a deputy of the NA "Armenia" faction, regarding prisoners of war, Hovhannisyan said that this issue is always kept on the agenda in contact with the EU. "To say the steps are satisfactory is impossible, but we must continue the work." Hovhannisyan also noted: "As you know, diplomacy has closed and behind-the-scenes processes; in that regard, work continues with Brussels and member states."
