"There is no reason or justification for war in the region." Prime Minister

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, stated, "There is no reason, no premise, no justification for war or escalation in the region. My assessment is unequivocal."

Speaking about the uncoordinated articles of the Peace Treaty, the Prime Minister noted that one of them concerns the deployment of third forces along the border, the other concerns legal and other diplomatic disputes, disputes in international instances, etc.

"The draft Peace Treaty does not address the issues you mentioned. The two uncoordinated points continue to be the same two uncoordinated points: as long as the discussion continues, that is, as long as they are not agreed upon, they are not agreed upon. There are layers and nuances; in this case, to say "rejected, did not reject, accepted, did not accept" is a bit relative," he noted.

When asked whether the proposal to withdraw observers from the demarcated areas is acceptable to Azerbaijan, Pashinyan replied that it has not been possible to reach an agreement on this issue.
