“I am glad that within the framework of the renewed agenda of the Armenia-EU partnership, we will have the opportunity to discuss several issues of mutual interest,” said NA Speaker Alen Simonyan at the start of the 4th session of the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Partnership Committee.
Alen Simonyan thanked European partners for following and responding to the developments taking place in the region and around Armenia, recalling the war, displacement, and occupation of sovereign territories of Armenia unleashed by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh.
“International humanitarian law was defeated in Nagorno-Karabakh. Dear colleagues, we have opened a new page in our history. Armenia has chosen the path of democratic development,” said the NA Speaker.
