Issues related to the repatriation of Armenian prisoners of war were discussed
The RA NA reports that the delegation led by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, on a working visit to Italy, visited the Italian Chamber of Deputies on February 19 and met with members of the Italy-Armenia Friendship Group.
Highly appreciating the role of the friendship groups operating in the two parliaments in developing bilateral friendly relations, Alen Simonyan expressed hope that targeted work will bring Armenian-Italian relations to a new level of development.
The Italian deputies, in turn, thanked the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia for his efforts in bringing the work of the two countries' parliaments closer together and emphasized that they would continue to support the democratic reforms underway in Armenia.
The discussions also focused on regional developments, the repatriation of Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan, and other issues of mutual interest.
