Prime Minister and Council of Europe President Discuss Peace Process

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

The interlocutors discussed several issues related to the Armenia-European Union cooperation agenda.

The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the EU's continued support for consistently promoting democratic reforms in Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that the full implementation of the reform agenda is one of the priorities of the RA Government. At the same time, the Head of State stressed that Armenia attaches importance to expanding and developing multilateral ties with the EU to develop capacities in various fields.

Antonio Costa welcomed the RA Government's steps to strengthen democracy and implement institutional reforms. At the same time, the President of the European Council expressed the EU's commitment to strengthening the partnership based on common values ​​and deepening cooperation in all areas.

The interlocutors discussed the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the possibilities of unblocking regional communication routes, and the implementation of the RA Government's "Peace Issues related to the "Crossroads" project.

At the same time, Antonio Costa highlighted and welcomed the steps and initiatives of the RA Government aimed at peace.
