"We discuss issues based on the principle of reciprocity." Alen Simonyan
NA Speaker Alen Simonyan touched upon the possibilities of unblocking transport routes, noting that all issues are discussed based on the principle of reciprocity:
“Nothing is mandatory for Azerbaijan and will not work for Armenia,” he said. He answered positively to whether reciprocity is acceptable for Azerbaijan: “Well, if we are discussing it, then yes. Of course.”
As for what is hindering its implementation, he noted, “It is the issue of cargo security; it is the issue of contacts because, taking into account the tension of recent decades, it is necessary to understand how, for example, the legal process will take place between citizens and departments of the two countries.”
Alen Simonyan also addressed why the negotiation proposals are not disclosed: “They are not disclosed because they hinder the negotiation process.”
