NA Speaker Alen Simonyan announced that Azerbaijan will use the term “corridor” in any case regarding the unblocking of communication routes.
“Whatever happens, whatever happens in the end, they will say, ‘We got our corridor,” ”he noted. Whether Azerbaijan wants a corridor, Simonyan stated, “They give their comments however they want. The corridor conversation was opened because the goal was to bring in Russian troops so that they could control that corridor themselves.”
Referring to point 9 of the November 9, 2020, trilateral statement, he noted, “Point 9: he can sit and watch on a monitor.”
He recalled that the document explicitly emphasizes the Lachin corridor, but there is no such term in point 9. “The control of the road can also be carried out with cameras. Is it mandatory that one Russian soldier be standing every meter?”
