On February 7, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alain Simonyan, who is on a working visit to Belgium, met with the President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Belgium, Valerie De Bouy.
During the meeting, the parties discussed various issues related to inter-parliamentary cooperation, touching upon the multilateral agenda of deepening Armenia-EU relations and democratic reforms in Armenia.
Alain Simonyan presented to the Speaker of the Belgian Senate the “Crossroads of Peace” project initiated by the Armenian government and the new opportunities provided for the region's countries with its implementation.
The interlocutors also touched upon the issue of Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan and other matters of regional interest.
