Nikol Pashinyan gave a lecture

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Georgetown University in Washington. The Prime Minister was welcomed by Professor Joel Hellman, Dean of the Edmund Woschle Institute of Foreign Service.

Nikol Pashinyan delivered a lecture attended by students and professors studying political science, international relations, and security.

In his speech, the Head of State touched upon the development and strengthening of democracy in Armenia, ongoing reforms, the current situation in the region, in particular, the processes around Armenia and the existing challenges and steps to resolve them. The Prime Minister emphasized the commitment of the Government of the Republic of Armenia to strengthening democracy and combating corruption, highlighting the importance of developing institutions and their capabilities in this context.

Nikol Pashinyan also discussed normalizing relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey, emphasizing the Government of the Republic of Armenia’s commitment to the peace agenda.

The Prime Minister presented the “Crossroads of Peace” project aimed at unblocking regional communication routes.

During the meeting, the Head of State also responded to several questions of interest to students and lecturers.
