Alain Simonyan met with the President of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg
The delegation led by the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alain Simonyan, who is on an official visit to Luxembourg, visited the Chamber of Deputies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and met with its President Claude Wiesler. Emphasizing the role of parliamentary diplomacy in the dynamic development of the high-level political dialogue between Armenia and Luxembourg, the interlocutors attached importance to its further deepening from the perspective of giving a new pace to the strong bilateral political relations.
Several issues related to the Armenia-EU partnership received special attention. Alain Simonyan highlighted the official launch of the visa liberalization dialogue. He welcomed the EU Council's recent decision to extend the civilian mission mandate in Armenia for another two years.
Claude Wiesler, in turn, noted that Luxembourg supports Armenia's European and democratic aspirations and is ready to contribute to that path.
The peace treaty, regional developments, and other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
