The most effective way to support Armenia from the US perspective: the Prime Minister elaborated

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended a reception organized by Save Armenia in Washington, D.C., to honor the Prime Minister's visit.

Sam Brownback, Co-Chair of the International Religious Freedom Summit and Save Armenia Board Member, welcomed the Prime Minister's visit and emphasized the organization's commitment to supporting Armenia in advancing its agendas. He noted that Save Armenia aims to unite Christian leaders and other stakeholders in supporting Armenia.

Save Armenia co-founder Robert Nicholson and several diplomats, public figures, and politicians attended the reception.

In his speech, Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed gratitude for organizing the reception and noted that attending the event with organizations and friends who have stood by Armenia and the Armenian people for decades was an honor. In particular, the Prime Minister noted, "Of course, I must say that now Armenia is at a crossroads, a critical period for our country. Defining and deciding the best way to help Armenia on this vital and challenging path is essential.

Our region, in general, is highly complex and full of deep historical contradictions, which are also reflected today. But now we need to focus on an agenda that will open up prospects for the future, which is the most important thing.

If you ask what the most effective way to support Armenia from the US perspective is, I would say that including the agenda of achieving peace in the South Caucasus in the list of priorities of the US political elite would be very important. Of course, we promote freedoms, including religious freedom. Still, I think sustainable peace is the best tool for protecting people's freedoms because a conflict environment is the most suitable environment for violating all human rights.

This is why we are now focused on the peace agenda. We believe that only the existence of sustainable peace in our region can guarantee a proper environment for democracy, the protection of human rights, and the development of Armenia.

I hope you know that Armenia is now striving for democracy. We are trying to deepen democracy and put it on an institutional basis so that it does not depend on the political will of the ruling forces. This is very important. I believe that democracy in Armenia is irreversible. There is only one tool now that is being used to disrupt Armenia's democratic path, and that is the tool of war, escalation, and conflict.

We are so focused on this agenda because we are convinced that peace is crucial for freedom, including religious freedom, democracy, and development, and for the future and happiness of our people.

Of course, we rely on our friends from the "Save Armenia" organization. We highly appreciate what has been done so far, and we hope that your support will be continuous and that you will focus more and more, in particular, on supporting the peace agenda. We hope our peace agenda will also become your agenda, which I believe will serve global prosperity and the victory of democracy, freedom, and happiness. Thank you."
