"The Republic of Armenia has never agreed to the limitation of its jurisdiction." Nikol Pashinyan
Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan referred to point 9 of the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, which referred to the unblocking of communication channels. He referred to the statements that the Republic of Armenia has undertaken a commitment by the trilateral statement that a third force should assume the security of communications, the Russian Federal Security Service, “There is nothing written in point 9 of the trilateral statement of November 9; there is the opposite: it is written that the Republic of Armenia guarantees security.”
He noted that it is not written that the transition should take place outside the jurisdiction of the Republic of Armenia: “There is nothing written like this. The Republic of Armenia has never, in any document, in any way, partially or completely, renounced its sovereignty and jurisdiction over any of its territories, nor has it agreed to limit its jurisdiction in any way.”
Referring to the mention of the Russian Federal Security Service in the statement, he noted, “Nowhere is it written that these forces should be present on the ground.”
