Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has stated that Armenia has the right, opportunity, and responsibility to have its capable armed forces and ensure its citizens' external security.
“Does Azerbaijan have concerns and questions regarding Armenia’s armaments? We do, too. We have proposed, including in writing, the creation of joint mechanisms for the mutual elimination of armaments and the investigation of border incidents, which imply mechanisms for mutual monitoring of military activities in border zones. We are ready to move forward in that direction.”
