The expansion of Armenia's cooperation with the eight Nordic-Baltic countries was emphasized

On January 30, political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Lithuania were held in Yerevan under the leadership of Samvel Mkrtchyan, Head of the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, and Mantas Jākimavičius, Head of the Eastern Neighborhood Policy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.

Noting the high level of political dialogue between Armenia and Lithuania, the parties discussed issues related to bilateral sectoral mutually beneficial cooperation. They emphasized the importance of economic, scientific, educational, and cultural cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international organizations.

The interlocutors touched upon the prospects for deepening the Armenia-EU partnership, emphasizing Lithuania's continuous support in this direction. Both sides emphasized Armenia's interest in expanding its cooperation with the eight Nordic-Baltic countries.

The Head of the Europe Department presented to his counterpart the "Crossroads of Peace" program developed by the Armenian government and the latest developments in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

During the consultations, the parties also touched upon several issues of mutual interest on the international and regional agenda.
