President Vahagn Khachaturyan's congratulatory message on the occasion of Army Formation Day:

"Dear compatriots,

Today, we celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the army's formation, proudly remembering the path the armed forces have overcome. This day is not only a holiday but also another opportunity to appreciate the role of the army in defending the country and establishing independent statehood.

The Armed Forces of Armenia guarantee the country's independence, security, and peace. The Armenian army was formed under challenging conditions on the basis of national unity, endurance, and patriotism.

Today, our soldiers and officers continue that critical mission with great responsibility and dedication. They protect the borders and ensure the country's security, ready to defend the peace of the Republic of Armenia at any time.

Today, we remember with gratitude the heroes who sacrificed their lives for Armenia's independence and freedom. Their feat will always remain in our hearts and inspire new generations.

The development and modernization of the Armenian army continue to be one of the state's priority tasks. We are consistently working to increase the armed forces' combat effectiveness, improve the social conditions of servicemen, and modernize military equipment.

Dear service members,

Your dedication and courage are invaluable. With the concerted efforts of the state, society, and the armed forces, we will overcome all challenges and build a peaceful and secure future.

Once again, I congratulate all of us on this significant holiday. I wish peace, unity, and new successes on the path to prosperity for our country.
