"We do not enter into competition with any country, including Azerbaijan." Papikyan

RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan referred to the military balance of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

"We do not compete with any country, including Azerbaijan. Naturally, the budgets and opportunities of the two countries are incomparable with all their consequences. And this is exactly what our proposal refers to—that if we want long-term regional peace, we must also have an arms control mechanism," he said.

Referring to the territories occupied by Armenia, he noted, "The military and political leadership of Armenia has a decision that the 200 km2 territory occupied by Armenia, of which the hill near Jermuk is a part, must be resolved through negotiations, and the issue is addressed to the Commission for Demarcation, Demarcation, and Border Security."
