Natural interests connect Armenia and Iran. prime minister

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the delegation led by Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Akbar Ahmadian.

The Prime Minister considered Mr. Ahamadiyan the first high-ranking foreign official to visit our country in the new year and added that this emphasizes the importance and deep nature of Armenia-Iran relations as one unshakable guarantee. Natural interests connect Armenia and Iran. The Prime Minister consistently emphasized the interest of the RA Government in developing and expanding bilateral cooperation in all directions.

Ali Akbar Ahmadian thanked Prime Minister Pashinyan for the warm greetings of President Masoud Pezeshkian. The secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Republic of Iran emphasized that the rich cultural past between Armenia and Iran and the warm contact between the two peoples give confidence that the mutually beneficial cooperation will continue to strengthen and deepen.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the dynamic development of bilateral relations. They expressed the belief that the parties have new opportunities for cooperation, including in technology, industry, energy, agriculture, infrastructure, road construction, and other fields.

The development of cooperation with the Iranian side in the construction of the North-South highway was emphasized.

The RA government's "Crossroads of Peace" project was mentioned in the context of unblocking the regional transport routes. Ali Akbar Ahmadian noted that Iran supports implementing the abovementioned project based on its principles.
