Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the Armenian army should be transformed structurally and functionally in line with the country's political and strategic goals.
"The army should be placed in the framework of our political and strategic perceptions, considering the regional situation and the logic of the peace agenda. We have clearly stated that the main mission of the Armenian army is the protection of the internationally recognized territorial integrity of our country, as well as addressing related security issues," Pashinyan emphasized.
He noted that the government is ready to continue discussions on the security situation based on strategic changes and a comprehensive assessment of the regional situation.
