They touched on security and stability in the South Caucasus

On December 10, Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan received the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Armenia, Robert Gershner (residence: Tbilisi), on the occasion of handing over a copy of his credentials, the RA Foreign Ministry informs.

Congratulations on assuming the position; Paruyr Hovhannisyan hoped that expanding relations between Armenia and Austria would mark his tenure.

The interlocutors referred to the high-level political dialogue between the two countries and the positive development dynamics in bilateral relations in recent years. Both sides emphasized the importance of expanding effective trade, investment, education, culture, and technology partnerships.

During the meeting, reference was made to the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the steps taken by the Armenian side to achieve security and stability in the South Caucasus, and the "Crossroads of Peace" project.
