RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vahan Kostanyan met with Abdul Aziz Al-Aluwaisheg, Deputy Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council for Political and Negotiation Affairs, within the "Manama Dialogue" forum.
As reported by the RA Foreign Ministry, the interlocutors discussed joint steps to closer cooperation between Armenia and the CSTO and issues of the regional and international agenda.
Both sides emphasized the parties' interest in deepening the organization's and Armenia's relations. The parties agreed to continue efforts to promote investment interests among the CSG member countries and Armenian business people, including by forming the necessary platforms and legal basis for this.
RA Deputy Foreign Minister Kostanyan presented the concept of "Crossroads of Peace" to the interlocutor, particularly from the point of view of the opportunities provided for interconnection between the Gulf and Black Sea regions. Thoughts were exchanged on possible interactions between the CSTO and the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization.
Regional developments were mentioned. At the interlocutor's request, Vahan Kostanyan presented the work towards regulating and developing relations between Armenia and neighboring countries.
