On December 8, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan met with Abd Al-Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in Manama.
The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of developing cooperation between Armenia and Bahrain in tourism and economy through concrete initiatives and promoting business ties through investments. The two countries' foreign ministries agreed to outline the necessary steps and priorities for further cooperation through political consultations.
The foreign ministers of Armenia and Bahrain exchanged ideas on regional issues. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that despite the challenges of recent years and the present, RA is making maximum efforts to create a stable environment in the South Caucasus and establish peace. In that direction, signing an agreement on regulating relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan can be a significant step.
Reference was also made to the recent events in the Middle East.
