On December 2, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp during his working visit to The Hague.
The interlocutors discussed the steps aimed at expanding the bilateral agenda between Armenia and the Netherlands, emphasizing, on the one hand, the strong foundations of cooperation formed in recent years and, on the other hand, the readiness to deepen the partnership through joint efforts further. They also considered the main areas with the potential for further cooperation development.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Kaspar Veldkamp discussed the prospects for deepening the RA-EU partnership. Minister Mirzoyan noted that the Netherlands is an essential partner for RA in further promoting cooperation with the EU based on shared democratic values.
The foreign ministers of Armenia and the Netherlands exchanged ideas on regional developments. Minister Mirzoyan presented the efforts being made to establish stable peace in the South Caucasus, including the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized RA's clearly expressed political will regarding the signing of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty.
The development of the regional communications network was discussed, with reference to the "Crossroads of Peace" project developed by the RA government.
