On November 29, the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan, met with the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Finnish Parliament (Eduskunta), Heikki Autto, and members as part of his working visit to Finland.
During the meeting, ideas were exchanged on bilateral relations between Armenia and Finland, the RA-EU partnership agenda, and issues related to regional developments.
Ararat Mirzoyan presented the steps taken to deepen the RA-EU partnership in line with the European aspirations of RA citizens and the shared democratic values.
The interlocutors exchanged thoughts on the challenge of promoting democracy in the current developments, emphasizing the active inter-parliamentary ties both in that matter and in the issue of expanding the bilateral agenda.
Minister Mirzoyan presented the latest developments in the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, including border demarcation and the signing of a peace treaty in the context of the security situation in the South Caucasus.
Minister Mirzoyan answered other questions of interest to parliamentarians.
