The representative of RA in the Council of Europe handed over the credentials

On November 20, Armen Papikyan, the newly appointed permanent representative of the Republic of Armenia in the Council of Europe, handed over his credentials to Alen Bersey, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe.

During the private conversation following the credentials presentation ceremony, Ambassador Papikyan reaffirmed the Armenian government's commitment to expanding and deepening the cooperation agenda with the CE. The permanent representative emphasized the implementation of the Armenia-CE 2023-2026 action plan and the CE's assistance in democratic reforms, ensuring the rule of law and protecting human rights.

In the context of issues related to regional security, Ambassador Papikyan noted that Armenia is making continuous efforts to establish peace and stability in the South Caucasus, as well as strengthening trust, and emphasized the need for the support and active involvement of international partners in this matter.

Congratulating the Permanent Representative on his appointment, General Secretary Alain Berse wished him practical work in favor of the further strengthening and development of strong ties between Armenia and the Council of Europe.
