"Armenia will be subject to monitoring." CE representative

RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan received the delegation headed by Mathieu Mori, Secretary General of the Congress of Local and Territorial Authorities of the Council of Europe.

The minister welcomed the guests and highlighted the cooperation with the Council of Europe, particularly the Congress of Local and Territorial Authorities, and the support shown to Armenia.

Mathieu Mori, for his part, emphasized that the CE Congress attaches importance to Armenia, the programs implemented in Armenia, and the support provided in their direction will be continuous.

"Armenia is an island of democracy, and the efforts of Armenia on the road to democracy are welcome," emphasized Mathieu Mori.

The importance of the post-monitoring process was emphasized during the meeting. Mathieu Mori informed that Armenia will be monitored next year.

Sanosyan noticed that the CE Congress' monitoring is an opportunity to emphasize the work done and the Local Self-Government System's compliance with the European Charter, as well as to highlight and correct gaps.

The Union of Communities, subsidies provided to communities, and subsidy programs implemented by communities were also mentioned.
