The special assistant of the US president arrived in Armenia

On October 22, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received the delegation led by Michael Carpenter, Special Assistant to the US President and director of European Affairs of the National Security Council.

At the meeting, RA-US bilateral agenda issues were discussed, including the current programs aimed at developing strategic partnerships, positive dynamics, and future perspectives. "Armenia is interested in continuing to develop relations with the US in directions of mutual interest, building on common values, already recorded achievements, and exploring additional opportunities for sectoral cooperation," the RA Foreign Minister emphasized.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Michael Carpenter exchanged ideas on regional stability and security issues.

The head of the RA foreign political department emphasized the efforts made by RA in the direction of establishing peace in the South Caucasus and referred to the latest discussions in the process of regulating Armenia-Azerbaijan relations. In this context, Minister Mirzoyan emphasized RA's interest in achieving stable peace in the region, adding that the latter found its clear expression in signing a peace treaty with Azerbaijan as soon as possible, as well as in RA's vision aimed at ensuring economic development in the region.
