RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan commented on what would happen if Azerbaijan did not ratify the regulation of border demarcation commissions or ratify it with reservations.
In response to the question of Armen Rustamyan, a member of the National Assembly "Armenia" faction, he stated that if the parties signed the document, they should have no reason not to ratify it.
"If we have signed the regulation, I think there will be no explanation from the parties for not ratifying it under any pretext, but if something like this happens, then we have the last stage after ratification, that the regulation will come into force when, according to international law, we exchange with the originals of the notices, and naturally, if the ratification process is not completed by one of the parties, or reservations are set in connection with it, the exchange of notices will not take place, the process will be interrupted," said Grigoryan.
"I don't understand why Azerbaijan should not ratify that regulation because if there was no such desire, or if the agreement was incomplete, it would simply not be signed," he added.
