On October 18, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in Istanbul. The meeting took place within the framework of the ministerial meeting of the "3+3" consultative platform.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Iran discussed agenda issues to develop bilateral cooperation further.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Seyed Abbas Araghchi exchanged ideas on regional security issues. Within the framework of the vision of ensuring stability in the South Caucasus, reference was made to the process of regulating Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, including the importance of concluding a peace treaty.
The principled approach to unblocking regional economic and transport channels was reaffirmed based on respect for sovereignty and jurisdiction.
