On October 9-10, RA-GDR bilateral defense consultations were held in Berlin. The delegation headed by Levon Ayvazyan, head of the Department of Defense Policy and International Cooperation of the RA Ministry of Defense, participated.
During the meetings held in the international security policy and international cooperation departments of the Federal Ministry of Defense of Germany, several global and regional security issues were discussed, as well as the prospects for the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Levon Ayvazyan presented the military-political situation created around Armenia and its development trends and, in that context, emphasized the "Crossroads of Peace" project and the process of transformation of the RA Armed Forces.
The parties discussed and expressed mutual satisfaction with the course of bilateral defense cooperation in 2024 and emphasized the significant potential to develop it. As a result of the discussions, the 2025 cooperation program in the defense field was agreed upon, which includes dozens of activities in exchange for experience, education, and training, as well as in several areas of mutual interest.
