On October 3, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan met with Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad Mohamed Salem Marzouk in Paris. The meeting took place within the framework of the Francophonie ministerial conference.
The interlocutors discussed the possibilities of developing bilateral relations, taking into account RA's interest in expanding the agenda of cooperation with the countries of the African continent and Mauritania's presidency in the African Union, which started in February of this year.
The foreign ministers of Armenia and Mauritania focused on expanding cooperation on multilateral platforms based on the vision of the peace agenda and the promotion of humanitarian values, respect for the fundamental principles of the International Organization of La Francophonie, and the UN Charter.
