On September 27, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov within the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The interlocutors discussed issues of expanding bilateral relations between Armenia and Bulgaria through deepening political dialogue and further development of cooperation in specific directions.
The importance of close cooperation in economic and tourism development was highlighted among other areas. In this context, Minister Mirzoyan presented the problems that arise during the visits of RA citizens to Bulgaria, underscoring the importance of addressing them to promote people-to-people contacts further.
Ararat Mirzoyan also noted with satisfaction the start of the dialogue on the liberalization of RA-EU visas and its positive expectations. Other topics of the new RA-EU partnership agenda were also touched upon.
The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Bulgaria also discussed the projects that would develop regional connectivity. In this context, Minister Mirzoyan also referred to the "Crossroads of Peace" project developed by the government.
The minister presented to his colleague the RA vision of achieving stable peace in the South Caucasus, including regulating relations with the neighbors.
