Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Greek Foreign Minister Yorghos Gerapetritis in New York on September 25.
The interlocutors discussed interaction issues between the two countries in various formats, in line with the close political dialogue and shared values.
Immediate reference was made to the steps taken to develop the new agenda of the Armenia-EU partnership. The already recorded achievements were highlighted: the EU monitoring mission, the start of a dialogue on visa liberalization, support for Armenia under the EU peace instrument, and further opportunities for deepening cooperation.
Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia highly appreciates Greece's and other partners' strong support for forming closer relations with the EU, which is in line with the aspirations of Armenian citizens.
Thoughts were exchanged on issues of cooperation between Armenia and Greece to strengthen regional security and stability.
