RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during his speech at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly that peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan today is not only possible but also within reach.
"The president of Azerbaijan and I have announced that at least 80 percent of the agreement has been agreed; now, to take advantage of the historic opportunity and avoid the danger of deadlock, Armenia proposes to take what has already been agreed, sign it, have a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and then continue with the other negotiations on issues. We are ready to do it right now," said the Prime Minister.
According to Pashinyan, it should be sent to the Supreme Court after signing a peace treaty with Azerbaijan.
"If the CC decides that the contract contradicts the RA Constitution, although this is unlikely, then we will face a situation in which constitutional changes will be necessary to achieve peace," the Prime Minister noted.
Pashinyan also called all the claims that Armenia has agreed somewhere, in any document, that third forces in its territory ensure the security of communications a distortion of reality.
