On September 25, during the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with the newly appointed Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, Jean-Noel Barrot.
Ararat Mirzoyan congratulated Jean-Noel Barrot on his appointment as Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs. This gesture underscored the mutual respect between the two ministers and set a professional tone for the meeting.
The meeting discussed a wide range of issues related to Armenia and France's cooperation agenda, including bilateral relations, the new agenda of the RA-EU partnership, and regional developments.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Jean-Noel Barrot discussed joint steps to deepen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. "Relations between Armenia and France are developing with a new content, and we are moving in the direction of building strategic relations," Minister Mirzoyan emphasized.
In the regional context, ideas were exchanged on the security situation and challenges in the South Caucasus and around it, as well as steps to establish stable peace in the region.
