RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, in New York during the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the continuous interaction between RA and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
Reference was made to the steps taken by the RA government to address the primary and medium-term needs of the 115,000 Armenian population who were forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh precisely one year ago, as well as to develop programs in the long-term perspective, and to cooperate with international partners for this purpose.
Minister Mirzoyan presented the latest round of discussions to Filippo Grandi on normalizing relations with Azerbaijan and the RA's approaches to key issues.
